Colonel David Butt

Commander Royal School of Artillery, British Army

Col Butt has commanded numerous types of Artillery having been an Light Role FST Comd, Adjt of a STA Regt, an AS90 Bty Comd and CO of an Air Defence Regt, and has also been Defence's lead for C4ISR and Joint Inter-agency capability, responsible for co-ord of the Army's Intelligence and ISR requirements. Col Butt has worked in Army Plans, Defence Plans and been a Military Assistant in a NATO, and joins the Royal School of Artillery as the Commandant having returned from being the COS to operations in the Middle East (Op SHADER), where he won extensive experience in C-UAS operations.
